1. About StrangerHelp

StrangerHelp is a hyperlocal task marketplace that connects people who need tasks done with verified helpers in their area. We also provide a crowdsourced community information platform.

2. User Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate information during registration
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account
  • You must not post illegal, harmful, or fraudulent tasks
  • You must complete claimed tasks in good faith
  • You must not harass, threaten, or abuse other users

3. Payment Terms

⚠️ Direct Payment — No Escrow (Current)

Currently, all payments are made directly between the task poster and the task claimer. StrangerHelp does not process, hold, or guarantee any payments.

  • The task poster is responsible for paying the claimer upon task completion
  • The claimer should verify payment arrangement with the poster via messages before starting work
  • Payment method (UPI, cash, etc.) is agreed upon between both parties
  • StrangerHelp is not liable for payment disputes between users

The Karma Wallet with built-in escrow protection is coming soon.

4. Task Claiming

  • By claiming a task, you agree to complete it to the best of your ability
  • You must verify the payment terms with the task poster before proceeding
  • Completion proof (photos, receipts, documents) must be uploaded for verification
  • Repeatedly claiming and abandoning tasks may result in account suspension

5. Messages & Data

  • All messages are stored for accountability and dispute resolution
  • Messages may be reviewed by StrangerHelp staff only in case of reported disputes
  • We do not share message content with third parties
  • Payment confirmations should be exchanged via messages for your records

6. Prohibited Activities

  • Posting tasks involving illegal activities
  • Sharing false or misleading information in the Q&A section
  • Creating fake accounts or impersonating others
  • Attempting to bypass platform features for fraud
  • Spamming or posting irrelevant content

7. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your own account at any time from Settings.

8. Limitation of Liability

StrangerHelp is a platform connecting users. We are not responsible for the quality of task completion, payment disputes, or interactions between users. Use the platform at your own discretion.
